CRICKET IS IN OUR BLOOD

The title says it all, every Indian has played this game of Cricket once in their life time. It is popularly known to be ‘The English Game’ as it was introduced by the English. There are millions of people who love this game, me among them. Cricket is the most popular game in India. It is almost played in every corners of India. A student may not complete his basic education but he may be expert in this game. Cricket does not require any qualification, all you need is your dedication and best skills.

Personally, I love this game. I’m one of its greatest fans. Actually it’s the only game which I know perfectly. I like to play this whenever I’m free. All you need is a bat and a ball and you can proceed. Even two people can play this game. Me and my friends have a lot of fond memories of this game.

Indian Cricket is gaining a lot of importance as we find a lot of talent in Indian people. The International Cricket is governed under the laws of ICC (International Cricket Council). There are many domestic tournament played in India which are played under the laws of BCCI (Board of Control Cricket In India).
There are two main formats of Cricket ,i.e, ODI’s (One Day Internationals) and Test format. In addition to this, BCCI has introduced IPL (Indian Premier League) recently. Yeah, IPL has gained a lot of popularity as this is a short and sweet format. Unlike other formats, IPL gives you fast results and it’s the most entertaining. 20 over game each side, three hours and here you get the result. IPL is all about money. Players are selected through auctioning. Highest bidder owns the player. Even if the player does not play good for the country, he seems to be the best in this format. All you can say is ‘sab paiso ki maya hai’.

Here are some facts related to Cricket :

·        Sources say that Cricket was started in England in 1300 AD.
·        The First official cricket test match was played between Australia and England in 1877.
·        Australia has won the maximum of four world cups till date.
·        The apex institution ,i.e, ICC’s headquarters is now situated in Dubai. Earlier it was situated in Lords(England).
·        The First T20 match was held in South Africa in 2007.

India vs. Pakistan is the only match for which every Indian is awaited every time. Don’t know how, but it seems to be the best matches in all the tournaments . Indians celebrate their win against Pakistan just like a festival.

2011 World cup resulted the same. Indian team made its way by eliminating Pakistan in semi finals. People were so excited . I too was glad during this moment. Crackers were fired all over the streets and this scenario was mind blowing. I think no Indian has missed this match.

That’s why we don’t like to miss this!
